Hi, Sally here, and alongside running the cottages, I love to be creative and have a passion for floral art and floristry.
After gaining my qualification in Professional Floristry with the Horticulture Correspondence College in 2021, and with many years before and after, working with excellent florists in the local area, I am now ready to put my skills to good use.Most days you will find me in my flower studio at Ivy Cottage, creating flower art and arrangements for a wide range of customers.

I now specialise in creating bespoke dried pieces of floral art using a range of techniques to dry, preserve and arrange flowers.
Displaying them in various formats such as floating frames or resin to create a keepsake of a special day or loved one.
After a full consultation, either here at the cottage or online, I will create your floral arrangement or gift.
My flowers are sourced from local suppiers during the growing season, reputable wholesalers in Yorkshire and whenever available from my own garden at Ivy Cottage.
I have had the best possible experience dealing with Sally.One of our daughters got married in September and our other daughter was a bridesmaid. I wanted to have their bridal bouquets made into dried floral art in floating frames. Peter at the Frame shop in Skipton made bespoke frames for me and Sally painstakingly preserved the flowers and then created stunning displays with them. I picked up the two incredible pieces today. They are absolutely amazing. Soon my daughters will have the most beautiful gifts to hang on their walls and have something to treasure from the beautiful wedding. I am now very keen and enjoying drying, preserving and creating floral art with dried flowers.
Dried here in the cottage, cropped and hung throughout the summer then carefully preserved to maintain their colour and beauty I can create everlasting floral arrangements and displays for your occasion or as tribute using your special flowers to celebrate and remember a special occasion or loved one.
Resin Art ...
Resin art pieces can include a photo of a loved one.
With a special mirror glaze applied, as a top coat, they will not only look beautiful but will make a fitting tribute that will withstand the elements for some time to come.
